    1970 911E headed West !

I just bought my first early 911 !

    Its a 1970 911E 2.2, w/ MFI, deep 6's (Al Reed), S sway bars, S front valence
Portotipo wheel, working Blaupunkt Frankfurt, stainless Dansk, complete with
    a "1 of" 2.2 grill badge & RGruppe sticker !
Color is Leaf green, orig Irish Green.
156,000 miles w/ 7k on a full rebuild of engine & 901 Trans. from Heinz Motorsports in VA.
Looks to be a 12/69 prod. w/ matching numbers

Car come with an assortment of xtra parts/spares/manuals & best of all....Soul !

Chris Powell (FA-18C) is a board member who has owned the car for approx 3 years. He has done extensive work on the car w/ MFI & various upgrades.
Chris is a great guy, who I know is sorry to see the car go. He knows it will be in great hands.
    Thanks again Chris !!!

Car is on its way to Colorado.
Really looking fwd to the whole "early car experience"
My SC is anxiously awaiting his long-lost Sister !

    Thumbs up

    Type911,
Nice buy. I looked long and hard at this car, and depsite the great price, I couldn't justify having another early irish green 911 coupe. One good one is enough. Also, since the 2.0S and 2.2E engine are pretty similar in terms of hp 160 on the 2.0S versus 155 on 2.2E, the performance experience would be pretty similar except up at the top end.
Maybe if it had been another color I liked besides irish green, I would have been more tempted to pulling the trigger, but cooler heads prevailed.
Congratulations and I look forward to another irish green owner on the registry. By the way, if I recall correctly, your car is a little lighter than irish green because Chris couldn't find the correct color to match. Make sure you have Chris give you the paint code in case you need to do any touch ups down the road...

Thanks for the comments. I know there was a lot of interest in this car,
had to move quickly on it.
Car came from the factory as Irish Green, was re-painted before Chris purchased the car. Interestingly the PO had it painted a "period correct" color
    Leaf Green.

Congrats! Looks very nice and I love the color, very unusual and very 1970.

    Enjoy,

Welcome aboard...if you happen to know Frank Barrett there, be sure to swing by his place & make him "green". (Sorry, couldn't resist.) I hope Chris reads this, and sticks around. We'll miss him if he doesn't.
