Rear fog light(s)??? I always thought this was a single light, brighter than taillights, mounted low...below the left taillight. Anybody have a pic of what I'm writing about?

    coa

thanks for the replies thus far. Jens, is that the correct light yellow/6210? coa also lists: 1973 911 s targa 9113310565

    headrests in leatherette
sport seats_ driver's and passenger's side
    rear window wiper
    antenna, loudspeaker and noise suppression
    green tinted windshield
    rear fog lights
how does one determine if this is a euro or us model or whatever? and does this determine if it has chrome trim or black trim?

    thanks again for input!! Larry

All '73s have black trim around the directional lights and black horn grills. The ROW (Rest Of World or "euro") directionals used yellow elements in the lenses, the US used red. Italian lenses were clear, the French were different again(?).

The '73 Ss are just one category for Coupes and one for Targas with no clues to country destination as far as I can tell. You might call Porsche and ask where the car was delivered new.

If the 5th digit of your SN is a 2 it's a US car, a 3 and it's an RoW car, I think. Yours is a 3 (9113310565, thus an RoW model.

The fifth digit in the VIN is for model designation. In 1973 it is:

    1 is 'T'
    2 is 'E'
    3 is 'S'
    6 is Carrera RS

You can't tell from the VIN if it was RoW or US/Canada. Unless it is 911360XXXX. Then you for sure know it is RoW.
