Yes, Paul, we all know this. . . . and we are all jealous. You don't have to keep reminding us.Originally Posted by pwd72s

Just clarifying the issue for Greg...there are subtle differences between original acrylic enamel paint and the paints of today that replicate the color codes of old...

Paul, I have no doubt that you are correct. But some of us are just glad to have a car that is in the original color, even though it was repainted. Poor Kermit spent years in a Guards Red "Halloween" costume. Thank goodness he is his old self again.
The interesting thing is that even though cameras try to accurately reflect the colors that they see, the color variations of cameras and monitors is probably a lot greater than the color variations of the paint manufacturers.

Greg, a 356 in Dark Green Metallic #62109 (221). I have never seen a 911 in this color, though my Heidi's '68 is/was. I can't wait to get paint on it!

Greg, this is the closest I've seen of 62109 (221) on a 911. I'm not completely convinced, but it might be ok a representation for your color chart.
By the way, great idea. It would be really good to add alternate names for colors too. Like Tangerine is Blood Orange.

Jens? I've been there! Your top pic of the green car...had to be taken mid 70's, Woody Creek, near Aspen, Colorado...the car is now Irish Green and owned by Greg DuPertuis...still running the killer 2.8 Grady Clay built engine it had back when the pic was taken, only Greg recently fitted it back to MFI...Wow...memories of some great times.
