    Jon,

Here are two pictures of #196 on the course at Ollon-Villars in 1967. One car is the earlier version and one is the later mini skirt version. I am assuming that one picture was from practice and one from the race.

This photo is from the Solar Productions building at the filming of LeMans. I wonder what 911 this is? Perhaps a factory numberplate?

I still need to discover where exactly this was.
I've got an idea but would need a proof.

1969 Marathon de la Route #11 driven by Kauhsen, Linge and Steckkönig

This 911, described by Touringcarracing.net as a semi-works entry, was a DNF at the 1969 Marathon de la Route due to an accident. It was driven by Willi Kauhsen, Herbert Linge, and Günther Steckkönig.

This looks like a 1969 911 GTS based on the fog lamp position and the drivers window cutout. Can anyone confirm that this was a case or provide a better picture?

Eric it certainly looks like one I cant identify which of the 4 GTS's it might be at this stage but will try to research by eliminating them All three of those drivers were in GTS's the previous year: Herbert Linge and Willy Kauhsen in 009 in second place and Gunther Stekkonig in 003, the winner.

Given it was entered by Kauhsen my best guess would be that it was the car he drove in 1968, 119300009, although there is no record of that race in the history I have of that car and its Kardex shows that it was not sold until 29 October 1969 so would have been still in factory ownership at the time. 004 was still in factory ownership at that time, being sold to Argentina in September 69. 003 was bought from the factory by Strahle in 1970 so that is also a possible one but again the 69 Marathon is not in its recorded history either
