You guys kill me man. I have two early 911's. They are built to my liking.

If I somehow stumbled across an ealy 911S, very low miles, amazing, all original condition, being sold at an estate sale or something and the price was ridiculously low, I would snag it.

Let's say I paid $12,000 for it thanks to Bruce Andersons retarded price guide. I don't want or need another early car but I couldn't pass up the deal. Now this new S I found is in the class of cars that are selling for $50,000. Since I paid $12k for it, should I only sell it for $13k out of the goodness of my heart?

OR SHOULD I SELL IT FOR $50K LIKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU WHINING ABOUT "SCUM FLIPPERS" WOULD DO? Give me a freaking break.

Don, first of all, its not that to buy and sell is a bad thing, contrary, to make a few bucks selling a car or what ever is not bad,and its true capitalism. in this case if a flipper buys it and sell it fine, but usually theres a diffrence between a flipper and lets say a carguy , a profesional in the trade who sells porsches, he will take the time to put the car together the correct way and will inform the prospective owner of what has been done, now from what i have seen and with this i do not mean that everyone is the same.
Now ,yes any one can do what ever with their money, but with a car like this one, it lends it self to be resold for a real S, most of the people in the forum and those who deal with porsches can tell, serials and other ways, but there is a lot of people who cant tell, i at a simple glance cant tell if its an S engine or a T, its a way to keep track of this car and avoid some one getting ripped off, so my question in reality was, where will this car end up, in the hands of a person who will take advantage of the situation or a person who sees a good deal, to place a real S engine and make a few bucks.
My intention was not to offend those in the trade, or for that matter those who buy and sell porsches for a living, in small scales. And yes, its good to make money, but in an honest way, like most people do.

I strongly suspect that there is a wise & honest man known as Santiago living on the Meddie side of Spain! People who deal honestly are respected...People who buy a rolled hulk with the "S" VIN plates, then repair it poorly, or place those plates on a 911T, and sell the car as an S? Well, they are NOT repected..not by me. I'm not saying this is the case with this car...only offering a theoretical example.

Guys my point was, its good to buy low and sell high, but,in certain situations, flippers of all sorts(cars, boatsetc) speculators, will take an S or half S like this one and sell it like a true S, without telling the truth about it, not that theres nothing wrong in buying it at 12 k and selling it for 20 k, as long as the other person knows about it, but when a speculator is out too make money, wich thats his job, he or she will not stop to inform his next client, he will wait for that noteve guy whos always wanted an S, but could not afford the real price of one. Wich i should ad its great for all of us who own a 911 of any sort, and like nick says, the efforts are finally paing off, but with these coment i did not want to stirr up the corral, i just wanted to know the faight of the S. I would hope that some guy with some dreams of always wanting one bought it.

    Peace!
