How are front bumper covers (fog lights holes) attached

Hi all,

I remember to have seen a picture on this BB of how a front bumper cover (that covers the hole when no fog lamps is fitted) is attached to the bumper, but I can't find it anymore.

Can someone please help out?

(PS: I am still looking for a pair + gaskets, according to my info, they should be the same for all 65-73 cars)

I think there are two different types. I think the early SWBs have a different mounting bracket. The 69-72s have two threaded studs on the foglight cover. There is a U shaped bar with slots that is bolted over the studs. This bar acts as a pressure clamp on the backside of the bumper. Don't have access to pictures until I get home.

Here is a picture of the later type minus the bar clamp. They are probably black now
