This car has been for sale a couple of times before. I spoke with the previous owner a few months ago...the car is in nice shape (according to the PO), but has had quite a bit of rust repair. I've owned 356's that have had full pan, and longitudinal replacements...and they were rock solid, but this car definitely needs a good PPI before anybody buys it.

    Is it just me?

Is it just me or is that strut brace total overkill on that car?

How hard would a person have to drive a '67 S on skinny tires to get the front to flex enough for that brace to do any good whatsoever?

    Cool

That strut brace is just a bit much...it would be better suited to a heavier car and a modified car at that. The straight across strut brace helps to minimize the slight changes to camber and toe that chassis flex allow. Even little changes matter, but you're right, you'd have to really flog it at the limit and be really good for it to make much difference.

Makes a good accessory though. (I'd 've painted it black to avoid embarassment )

    Guys,

I have personally inspected this car before the first auction. I would not bid until you see the car for yourself. I do not want to knock someone else's car here but it IS frightening. The description does not accurately describe the car. The hood and door gaps are way off. The paint quality is substandard. Just do not want to see someone here get burned. It is still an S if you wanted a car to restore but I would keep looking as I did.

    Best,

    Don

Somebody has bid $35k and the reserve has been met! I wonder if the deal will go thru after the buyer sees the car in person?

Looks like that bid was retracted. They must have seen it in person.
