    1972 911T Targa

After a lot of back and forth in my mind, I've decided to list my car for sale. It's an original 1972 911T Targa. I want more of a track car. This car has original paint, etc., and would be better in the hands of an earlyS person. That's just not me. I want a car I can modify. I don't feel right doing it to my T. I love this car, but something is missing for me. I guess I'm just not a "collector". Here's a link to specs on the engine rebuild and other:
    911T Info

    Chassis#: 9112111109
    Engine#: 6122628

    It's a 4R/5R case FWIW.

I'd like to get $16,750, and wanted to list it here before eBay.

Just a note for those who are interested. I have seen and driven this car. At the time, I didn't know that Jay was going to sell it, or I would have looked at it more closely. The paint on the car looks really really nice. If I remember, there is a parking lot ding in the door, but the paint everywhere else is solid. I didn't notice any bubbles or chips of note.

I had a chance to drive the car, and it accelerates and runs very smoothly. I haven't driven a T before, so I did note that there is less power than my E, but the torque curve starts lower than mine as well. So, it jumps out of a start very quickly and easily. The clutch works easily as well. In the driving that I did, it ran very nicely. I was very impressed with the smooth shifting. Wish mine was as clean. If 915's are known to be notchy, this one just isn't.

I have known Jay for a year, and have found him to be knowledgeable, honest and helpful. I would take to heart his representations on the car.

Nice looking car JT. Price is also right - especially considering the fresh engine rebuild. Wish I liked white! Is that the original color. If not, plse advise.

Yes, it is the original color. It's an "ivory" white. I forgot to list the chassis and engine numbers too. I'll do that tonite. The picture doesn't do it justice. This picture was when the PO dropped it off. He had it stored inside for ~7 years with the intent of rebuilding the engine. That's where I took over. I guess I liked the "project" more than owning a collectable 911. Now I want a driver. The definition of driver, IMO, is different in Chicago than it is in Cali or other "warm" regions. This car was stored winters in a heated garage by me. I hope it goes to a good home. I'd hate to fleabay it.

I'm completely "open" as to the condition of the car, and highly encourage anyone to look at it before buying.

    Edit:
--Chassis/Engine Numbers listed in original message.
--I have removed the AC compressor, lines, and condensor from the engine compartment. They all come with the car. Nothing was "hacked off" and all lines are in tact.
--Original steering wheel included, not prototipo (it was a b-day present from my wife, and goes on my "next car")

See link below for pictures and info.
