    Sensor on oil breather

In my pursuit of putting MFI back on my 2.0S, I have been acquiring lots of parts. The latest is an MFI oil breather. The sensor on the cover seems to damaged and I don't see a replacement on Pelican. Tell me these are not NLA...

After looking at the microscopic print on the thermo-time switch, I found a part number. Looks like it can be special ordered.

Yeesh, they are kinda expensive @ $64.05. What is the risk of using one which has the plastic spade in the middle broken? Is there any way to test this part off of the car?

Is that really where they put that sensor for MFI?
Seems like kind of an odd location to me, would the sensor even be in oil there?

Its not a conplicated affair... Its only a thermo switch to sence if the motor is cold enough for added cold start enrichment.
Its easy to check if it works or not.. and dime a dozen at a dismantler if you want used.
