    Justin,

The point that Flat Six makes is that often the '74 and '75 Carrera 2.7 is called a 'Carrera RS'. That is incorrect to call these cars by that term. They may have the same 911/83 motor as the '73 Carrera RS but the only RS in '74 was the Carrera RS 3.0.

Having said that Porsche did produce 123 '76 Carrera 2.7 coupes that were designated 'Carrera RS' and they have the 911/83 motor. So if you have one of those cars then you have a true Carrera RS.

Here is an ad for a '74 Carrera 2.7 that is misleading just as Flat Six mentions. It is at the Roock.de site.

I wonder why they didn't list a price for it.

I'm sorry if I sounded like I was "bagging" on the '74-'75 Euro Carreras. They are very cool cars and I wish I had one.......

    Hi Aaron,

That looks like a very worthwhile restoration. I hope you will return the RS to Tangerine (that is color of mine also ). Does this car have the matching engine #? Because if it doesn't I may know where the RS motor with serial #6631129 is.

I went to your website and you have some other really cool projects there also. Is that a real IROC RSR? Very nice.

According to the RS book, RS #1166 was delivered to West Germany.

    Hey Brian,

No the car has a '74 911/83 in it..........I think we would be very interested in the original motor....!

Yes it is going to be tangerine again.....of course.....

Yes that is an IROC.......9114600035.....the other RSs and RSRs are real also. The white with blue 2.8 is 9113600782........the white with red is 9113600871 and the RS 3.0 is 9114609029. The RS 3.0L is for sale BTW.

The RST was imported to the U.S. in about 1986 and the current owner has owned it since about '88. It is REALLY rusty so we've got our work cut out for us.

    Aaron.
