Any thoughts on this one?
Seems a pretty good honest example. Worth the money then?
Looks like a nice "driver"...leave it as is and go enjoy it!

Hi all,
I just want to put a friendly bump on this car.. I went to meet Dave & his car last Saturday, and we had a lot of fun driving it - I think you'll find its now more like 75000 genuine miles...
The car is in great shape, and Dave quite rightly IMHO hasnt worried too much about repainting the bonnet as the paintwork seems original as far as I could tell
Driving wise the car handled really well, although I had some troubles grinding between 1st and second ( I would put this down to me more than the car though, when dave was driving it handled smoothly)
The interior is in great shape, apart from the ubiquitous dash crack, it really is in lovely condition...
I didnt take a super close look at the underneath of the car, but there was absulutely no rust obviously visible...
I don't have any affiliation with Dave, and would have bidded on the car, but another deal I had though may had stalled picked up again...
whoever buys this car will enjoy it I think

Wrong mirror.
Wrong exhaust.
Wrong engine shroud.
Wrong seats.
Wrong Weltmeister sticker!
Karmann chasis ...
Having said all this, I wish it wasn't all the way in MA so that it would be easy to visit in person!
I bet that it would be nice to own.

Howard, I hadn't noticed, but you are quite right about the mirror, and the other points as well. but the Karmann chasis? What do you mean by this?
Thanks ...
Karl.

Does the yellow in the trunk indicate that this is a repaint? I thought front trunks were black until 1972?.. or was it late 1971??
