    Recaro Tilt Bracket Reproduction

With some prodding from me, my buddy Jeff Batten took my original early Recaro tilt bracket and reproduced it. What you see here is the prototype. It is 99% accurate to the original and once production begins the tiny details will all be accurate. These will be available in both driver and passenger side. I was very pleased to see how the finished product turned out.

Jeff expects to be able to begin shipping by the first of December, but is taking pre-orders so that he can get a better idea of how many will need to be made in the first production run. He is still determining what material costs will be, but expects that the finished tilt bracket with knob will be in the $250-$300 range.

Next project is reproducing the sliders........

If you would like to be placed on the pre-order list, simply drop a line to Jeff at Jeff@fatmonkeymotorsports.com

    Dave,

That does look really good. Don't forget the 2 little rubber bumpers on the back edge of bottom that the tilt mechanism rests on. Is that a price for each bracket or is it for a pair? Thanks.

    Brian,
That price is for each. They could be cheaper, but we would lose detail and accuracy. Its all the little stuff that adds up.
My tilt bracket didnt have bumpers. If you could snap us a picture, it would be appreciated.

    Dave,

Nice looking product! I'm in, but like Rick, I need to do an inventory. Have already corresponded with Jeff. I'm sure I'm not the only one who also has a desperate need for the sliders....

Note that there is a possibility that those rubber buffers are a 356 item that may be currently available. I'll check my catalogs.

Damn, another case of wishing I had a digital camera. More accurately, a camera AND the know-how and equipment needed to post pics. Tell ya what...Some time ago, I took a roll of my seats, top & bottom, and sent the results to Evren. I'll send him a link to this thread, perhaps he can scan & post...I'm pretty sure at least one of the prints included the rubber bumpers...

Couldn't find the rubber buffers in my 356 catalogs, and I don't have a pic handy.
