    Heuer dash mount

Hello all: sorry if this has already been discussed before... I want to mount a matched pair of Heuer Monte Carlo and Master Time BUT I hesitate to poke holes on the glovebox door. Is there another way to mount this puppy ???

Thanks in advance for any input.

Evren's solution was to buy another door from a wrecking yard...he then can run the clocks when on a rally, the original door during other times.

What a simple & practical solution, off to junk yard I go !!! The 2 clocks with the mounting plate is quite hefty in weight I don't think a heavy duty double sided adhesive tape will work.

    Thanks Paul !

I chose to use adhesive backed velcro tape, attached the "tape" to the back of the mounting plate , and the other to the glovebox door. Worked well, and I also did a test "dismount" and cleanup, and had no issues with tape glue etc.

An excellent technical & pictoral response , as usual, from you Nick.

I just loved the 'door pocket' in the edge of one shot. far more practical for rallying than the std Porsche item, and a lot cheaper to reproduce I am sure.

Boy, how I wish I hadnt sold off my Halda Twinmaster after my University Car club rally days....

And I tried hunting Heuer clocks on ebay for a while but the prices !!!!!!!
