    Repro (metal) early fenders?

We have an early (72) for collision repair and the car really does not deserve a factory fender due to addl rust on car and owner cannot afford it. Is there a decent aftermarket fender available and from where? thanks- Mark www.formulamotorsports.com or formulamotorsports@msn.com

I don't know of any aftermarket fenders being made.

My suggestion is cut the signal box frame off a damaged or otherwise useless early fender and weld it to a later fender. The upper rim of the of thr turn signal frame box won't have a lip but it should be adequate.

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.

    repro fenders?

thanks-I would if I had too. It would cost me more in time and material than a new factory fender-in addition the light area has cancer also.
Oh well, new fender on poor car...what a waste of a good fender OR maybe I'll ask around for decent used fender and bumper. again thanks Mark

Search ebay and post a wanted ad over on Pelicans BBS classifieds. Maybe you can find one in your area.

I got a new Porsche fender from Sunset Porsche in Oregon for a little less than $900 including shipping. I know it's expensive, but quite a bit cheaper than what the local guys wanted.
