HELP, WTB Sport seat reclining hinge

I went to install a sport seat this week to find out that the restorer didn't first check the condition of the hinge. Shipping to me worldwide is OK. Attached is a photo. 67-73 are pretty much the same. Hinge for the driver to adjust, and just a pin in a hole on the other side.

I believe these are similar to the hinges on all the early seats. I can refinish a chrome one like the black one if you'd like. BTW, BMW 2002s used a similar hinge. Try "2002AD", a break yard for early BMWs.

I found a set of those, and they don't work...I tried.

    Guys,
    Thanks all for the responce!
As Eric said, the chrome hinges will not work! To many holes in the wrong place.
    Platas, I'll wait for you.
    Thanks, Rick

Wow, I never tried to interchange these. They do look very similar though. I guess that is how Recaro was able to keep them "unique" for each marque.

Are these hinges the same as on 74-80 sport seats? They look pretty similar to mine.

Yes, they are similar....you need to tap one more hole in the 74+ style to make it work.

The 74-77 sport seats have a similar set up. But... those seats have a hinge on each side connected by a internally splined rod. Yes, dimension wise, the hinge is the same, but as Eric said, you would have to add a hole in the lower section, and be spot ON where you drill it or you would have a wasted hinge. Also, if you were to look behind the seat back you would see a splined shaft about a inch long going nowhere. This would not impress a concour judge.
