    Should I keep this '73 E?

I just bought this '73 E. It's pretty rough but restorable and pretty un-molested. I've been wanting an early street car more and more. I have a '78 Euro SC that I really like but hey...nothing beats a long hood with MFI.

I need a donor car for an RS Touring that we are restoring and this has some good parts to sell and it's a whole lot cleaner than the RS......but that's not saying much.....

I am of the opinion that almost any early 911 should saved but am I just being anal? Is this "just an E parts car?"

    Thanks,
    Aaron Hatz

I'm not really sure I'm going to sell it. That's the reason for the post. I'm just thinking out loud and wondering what you guys think?

I really don't need another project. Maybe I should sell both the '78 and this one.......then buy an early car that doesn't need much?

    I also have a '73 T that I'm building into a stage rally car......but that won't be a great street car.

    Thanks for listening,
    Aaron

    I say keep it !!

Blood, Sweat, Cussing & a few beers and you'll have an awesome daily driver, weekend restauranter or something to sell to a broke 30ish year old with two kids and a dog and NEVER thought he'd (or she'd) own a Porsche !!!

In other words, if yer able to save it, save it... ! IMO !

Not a lot of plusses with this one...but at least it hadn't been converted into a "Miami Vice" slantnose.

    ?

I guess we have to assume that it is a rust bucket.... just looking at it w/out any other info - I'd say it's very salvageable.

All I see is bad paint right now.

Obviously it needs ground up, but if the rust is not that bad I would absolutely save it.

911 E's are not that common, time will tell if it's a mistake to trash this one.

My vote: Sell it to someone that will restore it.

I agree. What would you be asking for it?
