Always a pleasure to see 3 early beauties together!

Ed, thanks again for organizing a really good run. What a great car you've landed, best of looks and capabilities. Scott, hats off again to you for making the most out of the least (I'll forgive you for leaving me behind a few times).
I'm ready to repeat when you are.

Seeing photos like this makes me wish that I had been old enough back in the 60's to walk into a Porsche dealership and see a half dozen early 911's and 912's sitting there brand new. I was only 6 and had won a 2nd grade spelling contest when my 911 was being built in Zuffenhausen. My Mom had a Gold Rambler convertible and my Dad had a Merc Cougar. We never owned a foreign car. Nor did any of our neighbors (well my Uncle had a VW bug). Being from Detroit Michigan, I didn't even know what a Porsche was and didn't care. The closest I will ever come to is going to a few early Porsche gatherings and seeing pictures like this. That's why I love seeing the pictures posted in the "Show Your Ride" thread. Based upon the thousands of views that thread has had, I am guessing most of the others on this boards feel the same. Keep em coming boys and girls (Lisa Spyder!).Originally Posted by pwd72s
Thanks Ed for planning the drive. Beautiful cars and weather, nice combination of twisty roads and a few roads where we could let the cars gather some speed. Both you guys are smooth, safe, and quick drivers and I will look forward to another trip like this one. It was fun to follow Ed's 2.7 and watch his car hunker down as he got a lot of drive out of the corners. My 2.0 E struggling to get enough power down really points up the difference in the displacement of these cars. But they are all fun to drive and maybe next time we can enlist several more early cars to join in.

Pardon me but that Viper GREEN 911 is a SPRING color for most of the country. Unless you live in PWD72SLand.. and it is probably always green but you can't drive ur lovely without worrying that it will melt into a fine reddish brown powder!
Now HERE is a proper fall color folks. Distain as ye wish and and enjoy yourselves but the day might be around the corner when allahu will fall allvoah yourselves liking this [if you are old enough I can add the word "again"].
Enjoy! [or not]
[I have never added an image before so I have no idea how -if-whatever- it will look. But it MUST look just dreamy tho....]
John,
It took me 5 years but I am finally warming up to sepia.
SEPIA RULES
That was very kind of you..... thank you.
This is actually Bitter Chocolate -also called Cockney Brown but I CANNOT STAND the idea of a Porsche with a British sounding name. Fine on Brit cars tho. I wonder how they ended up with the differing names? Have seen it in the past. BTW I used to have a Speia Brown Speedster [I even changed the color to that!].. back in the day.
Pardon the small image-was intended for the architect.
