Nice work, Chuck. The day of prep is (almost) as fun as the track time - like that Carol King song, An-tic-i-pa-a-tion. Also, lotsa' neat stuff in the garage...could we please see closeups of each of those photos ....just kidding!

...I used to do that too Chuck....problem is that I started to find the faster I drove the more I had to tape up 'rooster.. I kinda let that fall bt the wayside I guess..

Yup... a normal S.O.P. ...good on ya Chuck!

I'll be out there too Chuck, I'll be driving 'Rooster and be pitting with Jim Copp and his polka dot RSR monster. We'll be playing over at the big pool racing the Pantera Challange Cup race on Sat. After that I'll be out Sun a.m. for add'l test & tune of the car and rear wing settings.

Have fun and good luck for a pickle dish!!

Looks good Chuck, keep the moving parts clean.
I have used Simple Green to clean the undercarriage.
Though it seems a little caustic on the aluminum and anodized parts.
What do you use underneath to get the track grime and rubber rash off?
I'm back on track a week from Sunday! Can't wait.

Riz take photos if Copp (prefered in driving suit) really does play naked twister with the grid girls on his car.

    Great Info

    Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the great play-by-play! I am planning on a blast thru the local canyons very soon and I will follow your advice. Keep up the good work!

Had a wonderful day out at the 'Streets of Willow yesterday...
    Perfect fall high-desert weather...
    Lots of participants...

    All went well...

Took this pic on the way... The Pantara Club was at the 'Big" track and the event drew lots of Fords, Ferraris, and lots of over makes... including the Red Roster of our own Johnny Riz

With the mileage my car gets, especially at the track, it's always a good idea to fill up just before you get there....

I filled up before the 75 mile trip out ... had a full tank when I got to the track... and after all day (about 65 miles) at 10/10ths, I had a little over a 1/4 of a tank left and had to fill up again before heading the 75 miles home....

... all part of the deal

First thing is find a nice pit space... preferably by someone you know... then start taking everything out of the trunk, and inside the car that might fly around.

It seems my car is better balanced without the spare and a full tank of gas...

After my second run session I went over to the Big Track for lunch and met up with Johnny Riz and lovely wife Gloria...

John had his Roster crank'n faster then most of the guys on the track... John was having a good day as well ...

Also took a couple of pics of Gloria's gorgeous low mileage/original paint '72T Targa
