  1. #1

    Question "S Bumper Wanted

Does anyone have an S bumper they are willing to part with You can still buy them new through Porsche, in fact Sunset Porsche prices them at $1,007 but the wait is too long for me as my car is in Kevin P's shop right now.

    Thanks for the Asst.

Stoddard lists them for 1459.85 and part #911.505.011.06 GRV but I heard that there is a line and not sure if you can even get the thing from Germany. I would post on Pelican as well, I hope you find one. ;-)

this is what info I got regarding getting a new "S" bumper ordered from Porsche AG from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. They try hard and they do have good prices by the way:

Here's what I show on the 911-505-011-06, it supercedes to 911-505-011-06-grv now, and is 1007.30 dollars. Problem is there are none of the less expensive non GRV 750.00 (older part number) parts anymore since the number is superceded. The GRV part number isn't discontinued but there are none in the US or Germany, none anywhere, no other dealers, period. So this means I could order it, but I wouldn't get an eta when or if I'd get it. It could also become discontinued during that time. I wouldn't know unless I checked up on it occasionally either. I could order it and see what happens if you are in no hurry. If you can find one elsewhere you should buy it since I would not get information from Porsche on when or if I'd get it. They'd have to make the thing first.

If Tom does not still have it for sale I know of a bodyshop that has a steel one available with the brackets but it is not cheap, think they want $1,250

I have one I would consider parting with. It's currently tangerine, off a 73. It's in very good shape with one easy to fix dent in the front. I assume you'de paint it so the dent work would happen at the same time. I'd consider parting with it for $700-$750. Let me know.

I can e mail you a picture if you like. Contact me at ctallon@swinerton.com
