Ebay is not the place for exceptional cars, it's a good place to sell a decent straight car to a european buyer that is getting a great deal because of exchange rates. I'm sure all the really nice cars have been spoken for before they are really for sale.

    ...with all due respect guyz

Rick..I have the most respect with your very intelligent insight into this small community. Having said that, Ebay is a very "potent" vehicle to selling anything. Porsches are just an amoeba in this huge ocean of items that get seen, bought, and even "flipped". God bless the free market system, which Ebay has seemed to have captured single handed. Everyone keeps trying to immitate their sucess, but they ( Ebay)seem to just keep improving.

There are still plenty of nice cars out there. Yep, word-of-mouth on nice cars seems to be vogue right now. Some want to restore these cars as a hobby. I think that is really valiant. It really doesn't seem that long ago when Porsche owners would update their early cars. Now we're back dating older cars ( I am one of those).

In the years to come watch and see how many more nice original cars get resurrected and will come online on Ebay. What else would we all do for entertainment ??

    Curt,
Nice to see you are posting your thoughts, as they are not frequent enough these days. ( God forbid you have other interests!!).
I guess my point was that ebay should not be used as a yard stick when determining the market value of a 911. Yes, it's better than nothing, as sales do take place every day. On ebay, everyone is looking for a deal. Some get a deal, some don't. Each car has to be evaluated on a individual basis.
