Thread: 205/55-15 and 225/50-15 on an early car

205/55-15 and 225/50-15 on an early car

Anyone got a pic of what this looks like? I put 205/60-15 and 215/60-15 on my Americans for my "S" and while they look good, there is more sidewall deflection than I like.
In speaking with Harvey Weidman about the Fuchs he is going to restore for me he recommended the 205/55 and 225/50 for better handling. I am worried that they may look too short tho. Would love to see some pictures of this combo.
    Thanks

    Thanks Eric!
I suspected that this was what you were using. Anyone out there using them on LWB cars? Profile shot?

    narrow body

The photo I posted earlier has SC Flairs with 8's in the rear.

Here is a photo of my narrow bodied '70 911 S. The car has deep 6's up front, R's in the rear, same size tires.

The lips of the wheel wells are NOT rolled. I had Scott Hendry of http://scottsind.com/ grind down some of the bolts on the adj. spring plates, add spacers. Perfect fit.

    Ray,

I need to echo Bob's praise for your pic. That is the profile I fell in love with in the late 60's and early 70's. It is clean and honest with a great background.
