    FS: 1970 911T Targa/Lime Green...Mint!!

I am helping a good friend of mine list this car. I purchased the original "Gruen" from him a few years back. This guy has a knack for buying nice cars and making them nicer. If you are interested, please contact me and I can put you in touch with the seller:

    1970 Porsche 911T Targa

    41,000 miles since restoration
    Lime Green

    Offered at $24,500

This is a very special machine, ready for car shows or daily driving. There are 185,000 miles on the car and approx. 41,000 miles on the super strong 2.2 motor with no issues.

This was a collector owned 911 from Northern California up until 4 years ago. It went thru an extensive restoration in 1991: paint, rubber, full motor, transmission, 4 new calipers, master cylinder, 4 new cv joints, oil tank, both front struts, and tons of parts, all totalling about $27k. Then there was a divorce in the mid 90's and the wife kept some of the car collection to sell as she needed money. She seldom drove this one because there was a pedal cluster issue that made it hard to engage the clutch. The car stayed fresh all those years and I got it a couple years ago.

The current owner freshened up everything and it has never missed a beat on the road. He has taken 2 trips up to Monterey and used it as a daily driver on and off. It is mechanically perfect. This was originally a silver car that was painted Porsche lime green in 1980 and then again in 1991. The color and paint are stunning. no dents, no scratches, just some small rock chips up front. the two rear corners of the bonnet and 2 other small spots under the targa bar were spot repaired and whatever issue was there, has been fully suppressed.

New perlon carpets were installed professionally, topped off by porsche plush floor mats. The front seats were rebuilt and redone with the cool houndstooth inserts which were a factory option of the day. The targa top is the best you will ever see and there is over $1,200 invested in it. First, 2 tops were purchased and combined... all the best frame and trim parts to make this one. Then the inside and outside were re-upholstered All the seals, latches and pegs are perfect. All upholstery materials were purchased from GAHH in North Hollywood and are the best. The wheels are deep 6's and the Dunlop sp-sport-rt's are newish. The clutch is a couple years old and it is regularly adjusted (very important on 901 trans.). The horn grill fog lights are nos. The H4's are new. The 70's alpine stereo was pulled out and a new Blaupunkt Monte Carlo was installed. There are old school boston accoustic plate coax speakers installed nicely in the rear tray, no speakers hacked into the door panels.

The chromework on the car is in mint shape. it has a full concourse tool kit, jack, manuals, etc.. Als, it includes a thick book of paperwork and reciepts dating back to 1986. The alternator and distributor are newish and the fan shroud was detailed.

There are cool period badges and such and everything that is done to this 911 is true to its orignal form in the 1970's. The license plates goes with the car.

Unfortunately no. It was originally silver but professionally repainted the Porsche green in the early 70's.
