    Mr. Boyer:

(sorry, but I need to show ultimate respect for someone of such extreme talent and perseverence.) Your car is absolutely amazing. I wish that I could look at it in person. What a dream machine. Congratulations. Whatcha gonna do now, put it in your living room, or drive it?

Thanks for the compliments the last person that called me Mr Boyer was the local copper (policeman)

I am going to drive it, in fact have already done 1100 miles. Maybe it will be like Pauls car up to 2000 miles per year or thereabouts as I do have the RS and a couple of others if I feel the need for speed.

There is a gathering next week of 356 cars "down under" which our group the TYP 901 Register Inc has been invited to and I am going to display the Targa for the first time in public so the reaction will be interesting

The motor is starting to feel a little better after we discovered the throttle linkage I had put back in the car was 2" longer than it should have been and full throttle was not even close.

Thanks Chuck the 69S won't be getting the same treatment however, I am sure Bill Noon will be pleased to hear that. I am debating in my mind what to do with RS #101 which is white but should be yellow and that is annoying me a lot!!!!

I certailny don't want to be without my RS for 6 years while I do a similar thing, although I think I could do a real good job at about 25% of the price and half the time given what I know now!!!!

    Clyde,
Is that a yellow/clear undercoat that I see sprayed on the floorpan? Seems to look like the factory type cosmolyne. Couldn't have done a better job myself!

Enjoy the ride, Clyde....My compliments for saying you'll be doing limited driving. I'm happy to hear that this one won't join the ranks of "dead" cars.

    Rick,

I hear you do great work so thanks for the compliments. I think the yellow hue is a reflection as the underneath is the same as on top, Glasurit Silver with clear coat. I thought about spraying the brown wax underneath but couldn't bring myself to do it!!!!
