Attached a piece of Porsche memorabilia. It's from a Jan. 68 rally car.

It's the passenger's toeboard. What makes it 'unique' besides being from that particular car, is the small hole on the left (see arrow). The hole is there to fit a foglight switch. And for the sharp eye, it's not a plain round hole. It has small teeth. Any one know why the teeth?

Just some trivia on Thanksgiving day.

Don, could be. The switch is not there any more, but from the picture in the magazine (which is a similar car) it resembles a 356A headlight switch.

And unfortunately do I not have the car, but I will post some more pictures of odd additions in the nearby future. I have to prepare myself for tomorrow's night rally first.

Just a thought,,, instead of a fogswitch,, perhaps it was a pushbutton for the horns.
On the right corner of the dash facia, is the socket for a trouble light.

Interesting were they mounted the map light as well,, right across the lower dash as opposed to the traditional area.

Too get things straight.

The car in the magazine is the 68 Vic Elford car which I have been told is currently in CA.

The car from the toeboard is not mine
