    New Car, Old Color

Truck pulls up, new blond owner standing by her Mexico Blue car, driving off saying, "You drive the Suburban back to the house, I will see you later". 1 hour later, locked up on the street, she comments, "Maybe you can drive it tomorrow". When your wife loves her new car, and it is a Porsche, just how good can it get??

It was great to meet you also. We hope to come to your part of the world one of these days. Yes, it does help when your wife enjoys having fun with the cars. We have met so many great people while enjoying the thrill of driving these great cars. This car will be her daily driver, it took about 8 months to order it in paint to sample. I have had many people ask if it is a new Porsche color. Not many know it is a 30+ year old color. On her first drive, with me riding shotgun, a 2004 996 in Viper Green pulled up next to us. It was pretty cool driving down the PCH, with 2 Porsche's with the old colors on them. It was too dark for a photo op, maybe next time. I think the silver car you are talking about is the 73T, that has 3.900 miles on it. That was the one under the cover. Take care, keep in touch, and thanks for the Hat and shirt.

    Then and now...

    Eade,

What a great color!!! You have to post side by side photos of the '74 and the 2005.

One day Cheri will let you drive it

We are thinking about going to the Cove tomorrow with the new and old. The fog here was pretty bad, hope it is not as bad tomorrow. Are you going? I may get to drive it someday, but that's okay, I want her to enjoy it first. Are you going to New Years? New one is a 2006. Take care.

We brought the 74 home to meet it's new younger brother. I started to pull into the garage, and it stopped dead, shut off, and just sat there I think it was wondering when this new THING was going to move out of the garage, and let the 74 have it's space. With a little coaxing, I was able to pull the 74 into the garage, and as of this post, they seem to be getting along okay Cheri had to promise the 74 she would still pay just as much attention to it, as she does the new 997. Only time will tell
