    Time For A 'real Name' Change

    OK, fellows here goes; I believe that the time has come for this club to start having members use their REAL Names on these postings rather than their "handle " names. I know a lot of guys know each other on the West coast, and know their Handle name , but this "handle " thing to me and a lot of other Members is very impersonal and juvenile. As a member of the 356 Chat line, personal names are the norm, and all members know who they are communicating with. It would also make it a hell of a lot easier for the support staff to solve problems if they knew who they were dealing with, as well. Chuck Miller would agree; Right Chuck? If you want to continue your "handle' name ,OK, BUT have the COURTESY, to sign off with your REAL name; It's time;

    Would that mean our postings would come up if someone "Googled" our names?? If so, can it be prevented?? Otherwise, a great idea.

    I share JCR's concern; not trying to hide from any of the members but maintain my privacy from the outsiders....

    Jared,

    I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't know that searches such as google will pull names out of the depths of a site such as this. I have just Googled a member who always signs off with his full name, but the only reference to his name in conjunction with the Registry is the fact that his name appears on the opening pages as a contact person. Perhaps someone from Google is a member and can fill us in....well, on second thought, and considering how their stock is doing, they're on the Carrera GT site!

    Would using underscore help? Not an expert by any means, but wouldn't it help to provide some modicum of privacy?
