    Question Wiper Fluid Pump Problem

When activating the wiper stalk I only hear a single click come from my wiper fluid motor/pump it does not appear to run. Do I likely need a new pump

yes...but you might put a multimeter set to VDC on each wire leading to the pump and then have a friend pull the lever when your key is on. If you get a 12 reading, that means the power to the pump is okay. In other words, it's usally cheaper to do a bit of testing & exploring before just buying & installing new parts when searching for the cause of a problem.

    Pump problem again

I had a new pump installed and all the lines check and things were working great for a while but then the car sat around at a couple of shops for nearly 2 months and now the fluid is no longer flowing. The pump is working and I took the res tank out and cleaned as there was a lot of setiment and put in new fluid but still not flowing Any ideas

You might need to purge (this might not be the correct word) the pump. It happened to me a while back. What is probably happening is that there is air between the pump and the reservoir, so the pump is getting no water. Or there is too much air in the lines after the pump and it has not enough power to remove the air.

I can't remember for sure what did the trick in the end, but it envolved disconnecting the tubes and either blowing water to the pump (with water in your mouth) through the tube, or sucking on the other end, probably with someone operating the pump

Again, I can't remember waht did it for my pump, but it was one of those 2 things.

    Good luck

Also check the small orifices in the squirters. I have seen them get clogged with wax, etc., and if you had sediment in the reservoir maybe some of it got pushed thru and stuffed them up?? Pull the tubing apart at the tee below the windshield and see if the pump delivers water there OK. If it does, a pin or small diameter wire pushed thru the hole in the squirters may do the trick.
