The Beige RS that never was

Here are some photos of a restored Carrera RS (#0059) that is being offered by a German dealer that was painted Beige. The interesting this that this color was never used on an RS. The strange thing is that someone decided to use this color on an RS that was originally Tangerine. I kind of like the look but I would like it more if it was used on a Sepia Brown car.

It is being offered at 165K Euro.

Im sure someone will buy it and make it Tangerine again. I like the color a lot, but I like Sepia also . Was Sepia ever used on an RS? If so, would you do a color change on a Sepia RS?

That color looks alot like a 73.5T I looked at years ago. I believe it was called Oxford Grey??????

Strangely, I think that color looks great on that RS. Not Tangerine great though.

Porsche restoration specialist Hackenberg, where apparently the bodywork was done, has a big booth on the Classic Essen car show every year in April.

    I've got a customer with a '78 SC the same color......he says it's called "putty".....and I can't find the color listed for '78.

It's a really cool color in my opinion...

If this was painted a correct factory color it is called Beige (Oxford) Grey, color code 622 and paint code 7575.
