Just picked up the Italian version of a Carrera RS!!

O.K., I just picked up another Carrera RS. Well not really, but maybe a distant relative from a lesser known Italian manufacturer.

    The similarities:

Low production, one year only model
Based on the marque's most popular offering
Lightweight, no-frills version with no undercoating, no sound deadening materials, plastic rear window etc. Sound familiar???
Stripped out interior. Bare bones door panels, lightweight seats, no carpets, etc.
    Pumped up motor
    Edgier suspension
    Modified transmission
Some racing history, albeit nothing like the Carrera RS's!!

Guesses anybody???? See the next post for a pic. Happy Saturday to all!!!

    Thumbs up

Very nice Rob. Stadales are awesome. Got any photos of the interior? That looks like full red leather rather than Alcantara(sp?). Love the stripe too.

Rob - very, very cool. Try not to get interested in old ones with track provenience though. Unloading your RS's will only do for the down payment!

    Thumbs up Congrats

    Rob -

Congratulations on your new acquistion! I'm sure it's a fun ride. The newer 'entry level' Ferrari's certainly provide awsome performance, and command a permanent place on my personal wish list.

If memory serves, the Stradle's engine and that in the lowly Honda S2000 share the highest specific power output (120 hp/liter) for naturally aspirated passenger car engines....just a bit of trivia.

    Best Regards,
    Bob

The 911’s initial participation in a competitive event, the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, was fitted with a 100L tank (#300055). Seeking additional info on earliest 100L tank fitments to 911’s.
