I really don't know what the problem is here in the US other than the friggin EPA. Next year, I think we're going to lo-sulpher diesel which is supposed to solve the emmission problem anyway. Diesels have somewhat of a bad rap due to GM's horrible diesel Buicks in the 80's - pure engineering abominations! Daimler-Chrysler seems to be leading the way now - they've got a diesel available in the Jeep and are talking about one in a minivan. Seems the rest are hung up on Rube Goldberg hybrids ..... One thing's for sure, the Audi TDI will cause everyone to sit up and take notice.
