    H1 Value

Assume a set of H1's in excellent condition. Not NOS, but very good used condition that need nothing. What are they worth these days?

I've got a set that need work and I've been screwing around with them for a couple of years. I'm thinking of dumping them and just buying a good set to bolt on and go.

Bargains are still out there to be had but, typically, H1's in excellent condition seem to be going for $600-$700 a pair.

    "very good used condition"
    vs.
    "need nothing"

To me - these two don't jibe. IF they are the former, see above. If the latter and it means surface cosmetics also then a lot more - maybe $1,000 or approaching that. Depends on how long you wait (it's winter) and if you find the one of the small group that really appreciates these lights.

By Needs Nothing I'm referring more to not having any stripped out screw heads, no dents or rust on the rings, no missing parts, etc.

as I have played around with these a lot and to me the most important thing is the condition of the reflectors if they don't reflect like mirrors then the light they project will be dim, and for all the money your going to spend (other then the fact your going to be able to say you have H1's) they are not going to be any better then H4's .

I just traded two deep sixes for a pair of H1s that were in excellent, not NOS condition. So I figured I coughed up $600 in today dollars. Course I paid $500 for the sixes last year. I was happy.

Sam - I'll be honest, I don't care if they perform better or worse. They're period-correct and I just like the look of them!
