Most everyone here is familiar with the Emory’s and the fantastic contributions they’ve made to the vintage Porsche community over the last few decades. What you may not know is that for the last two years Rod Emory (Gary’s son and principle of their vintage racing business) has been working hard to build a pro racing team.

Some very exciting announcements in the last couple of days – Emory Motorsports has partnered with Alex Job Racing to form Alex Job Racing/Emory Motorsports to campaign a Porsche powered Daytona Prototype in the 2006 Grand American Road Racing series. For January’s 24 Hours of Daytona the AJR/EM car will be driven by Porsche factory drivers Patrick Long, Lucas Luhr and Mike Rockenfeller!

This is going to be a very exciting season for these guys – a proven organization in AJR, three of the worlds best endurance drivers and a new first time combination of a Crawford DP chassis with the Porsche 3.8L power.

Let me be the first to congratulate Rod on pulling this all together!
