Niiice score Curt!! Love it when that happens... would love it even MORE if it ever happened to ME!!

AAron - is that your early Explorer II ? One of my ALL TIME favorite watches!! I have the later (red 24hr hand) version... REALLY wanted one of the early ones but the Japanese market was gobbling them all up!!
Very hard to find!! Want to sell or trade???

PS - I was just explaining to someone today why HEUERS are MUCH cooler than TAG Heuers!!!

Ummm...what makes "pre" Tag Heuers cooler than Tag Heuers? Yeah I'm that dense when it comes to watches . The most expensive watch I have is a free Swiss Army watch.

Thanks Jared.....Yeah...it's mine. It's the pride of my collection. I bought it 2 years ago from the original owner......I've got the papers and sales receipt too.

    I'd love to see yours....

Jared - for every find like this my brother makes, he has 500 'dry runs' .... You've really got to have patience to scour the flea markets and estate sales like he does. I don't have it! But I frequently buy some of his finds.

Bob - to put this in terms you'll understand .... ..... pre-Tag Heuers are before the TAG conglomerant bought Heuer - these are akin to pre-74 Porsches. Tag-Heuers are like 996's ... they look sort of like the real thing, but really aren't even close. Check www.onthedash.com and become an instant Heuer expert overnight!

Curt, thanks for reminding me of the "treasure hunting" reality - it's the one in a thousand story that always gets told. Enjoy that watch.

Aaron - I shan't turn down an opportunity to talk watches! Whenever we early guys get together, we always end up trying on and drooling on each others watches. Let's see some more... Dave, Larry, Jim, George... I know you've got 'em!!

Here's my daily drivers - suppose you could say I have land, air and sea covered.
