    Dave:

Are you looking for factory 2-piece ones, Weltmeister ones, or the new WEVO ones?

Sorry, let me be more specific. OEM used pair would be good for me. While I have your attention, is this a straigtforward swap? Do I reduce tire clearance with factory adj spring plates? Thanks

    Dave:

First,.........yessir, this is a straightforward swap with no issues unless you are using a big tire such as a 225/50-15 on the rear of a narrow-bodied car.

I have a pair of good used SC/Carrera spring plates that need bushings (don't they all). I can also provide some Elephant Racing Poly-Bronze ones unless you want something different.

Weltmeister or WEVO ones are also available depending on your budget and what you wish to do,...

You can e-mail me directly for details.

Actually, I do plan on running 225/50 with a 7R wheel. Is this a deal breaker?

Not if you do this right.

You'll need wheel spacers and longer studs to move the tire outward and you'll have to modify the alignment hardware a bit for tire clearance.

Needless to say, every brand of 225's sectional width is different and should be factored and you'll need some additional neg camber to fit. You might also need to roll the fender lips, as well.

I helped a local friend do just this same thing on his '72 911S and we used Weltmeister's with no clearance issues using 225/50-15 Pirellis'.

You know Dave, this sounds like too much work...I'll give you $50 bucks for the 7R wheels so you can find another alternative

They should be on a SWB car anyway!

Hi Steve, glad to see you have some time to cruise the boards this week.

    Hiya Mike:

Yep, the shop is closed this week so I'm doing paperwork and slacking off working on my own POS.

    Dave,

Instead of longer studs and spacers you might want to consider Boothe Design bolt on spacers. I have a set on the Targa with 7R wheels on the rear and they work really nicely. I am not sure of the size but I'm sure Steve or Harvey can help determine this.

I have an extra set but I think they would be too wide. They are 18mm.
