Phillip, looks to be a great time, regretfully I'll be doing the 1st PCA San Diego Region TT at WSIR that same weekend. the new extended track at Pahrump should be a lot of fun, Please report back your feelings on it.

I have a couple Alfa Club events penciled in on my '06 track schedule....hope to see ya at one later in the year.

    Happy New Year!!

Likewise with the PCA Big Willow conflict gonna have to miss this one.
When you return please do share your experiances with the new extended track layout.
I'm planning to race with the Alfa club at your Big Willow and Buttonwillow events this year.

After my recent TCRA experiances at Big Willow last month with wild Viper and Radical drivers I think I will make the Alfa club my #1 race club. San Diego PCA provides a good TT fix. Imho it adds interest to share the track with all makes, Vipers and Radicals excluded natrually. Maybe after your SM weekend you'll have an opinion on this too.

BTW it is very very cool to see and even better to share the track with the Alfas as you guys drive them near their limits.
    Good luck racing!

Sorry you'll both be missing this event. I hope to see some Porsches, but in any case, I'll give a report of this new extended track upon my return. Good luck with your event.

Yeah....10-4 on that MG...... I also appreciate the Pride and Respect the Alfa guyz have for their cars Marque. Adds a kind of "fighter pilot" chivalry type vibe when we're all out on the track ...and I like that.

    Pahrump Review

The Spring Mt. track in Pahrump was well worth the drive. The weekend event with the Alfa club included 3 Porsches. A Porsche Cup car, 944 turbo, and a late 80s SC. The track is a bit over three miles with 18 corners when run in this weekends configuration. It is not a good spectator track. Once the cars take the first corner, you don't see a thing until they arrive at the last corners 2 minutes later. It is a teaching track with a school so it includes every type of corner short of a big oval (decreasing radius, decreasing radius off camber, increasing radius, a dip, a hill, hair pins, etc...). The times seemed to run a bit over a minute longer than Willow Springs. The 12 lap race took over 30 minutes.
Overall this is a fun and challenging track just 10 minutes from your hotel room. I hope the Alfa Club does this one again.

Philip thanks for the report, sounds like the Alfas and Radlcals blended well.
I really hope to make the Alfa BW event in March, see ya there.
