    Can anyone figure this one out?

    Is is a '72 or a later SC redone as one?

    Peter,
    The VIN number stated in the auction shows that it is not an early 911.

    Peter,

    The VIN# Listed in nor early or late. WP0 as the first 3 would indicate a post 81 car. Looks like a "made up" VIN #

    Appears to be your typical altered early car.

    It has both battery boxs, carbs etc.

    Hard to tell in the poor photos, but it does seem to have the '72 oil filler door.

    It could be a state asssigned VIN #.
