hello,
As I would like to replace all the windows of my 911 with lightweight Glaverbel glass like the real lightweight 73RS, does anybody know who sells them? Price? Are oem seals still available as well?

fixed rear side windows used Glaverbel along with the windshield. rest was Securit. around 3.5 mm. the rounded trim is NLA, flat trim for side windows was used on Turbo.

SEKURIT is the spelling, the SCRS used all Sekurit, RaceForce sold 6 sets of it back in 84-85. its about 3.5mm, and clear (no tint), and the back window has one stage defroster wires, half of the lines as a production 911

Rob Gross has perfectly duplicated the rear side window trim. He might chime in here. Jeff Smith has it on his new WMD car. I have seen it, first class work. Rob might supply some to those who need it, but I am not commiting for him.
Original side windows are now worth thousands each,, Never mind finding a front windshield.. I wouldnt recommend it unless your restoring the real deal. Original front windows actually flexed at high speeds and were sensitive. Know one will notice the difference but yourself. If your desperate and really want reproduced thin side glass, PM me and I can forward contact info. Expect more than a thousand per side plus. and shipping from Europe.
If you want a set of moldings, i'd be glad to supply you a set.
Pm me or call and we can discuss it better...
Best Regards and Happy New Year to everyone, Robert Gross

Hi George
Yes, they fit in a SC fixed window seal.
Regards, Robert..
Jim Newton at Auto Associates had the Glaverbel artwork to replicate the
quarter windows at one time. I have not talked to him in years but the last number I had was 203-693-0278.
Thanks. So, who supplies thin Sekurit glass for rear window and door windows?
And what is the weight saving per:
windshield
rear quarter
rear window
door window
door vent window?
Beginner,,, .
Do the ratio math for the weight savings,,, 3.5mm to 5mm,,, about 30%
Nobody stocks the new windows you want except the rear quarter units. I can supply the Glaverbel stencil
Robert.
Yes, there is a thread on that with my name on it - there is just not much wt. saved. To save wt. use Lexan. To have a scratch resistant surface you have no choise but glass.
