WTB: Original LWB Horn Grills With Fog Cutouts

Can anyone help me find a pair of chrome horn grills with the cutouts for fog lights. I am looking for the chrome factory, NOT plastic, long wheel base version for my 73S that came from the factory with "White Fog Lights." My car was missing these so any help would be appreciated and I know how stinking exspensive these are.
Please no plastic versions as I already have a set. Looking to be original here.
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the PMs so far. I guess I should have put in the description that I was only looking for the grills and not the car to come with it. LOL
    Anybody else?

Will you need the brackets that hold the fog lamps ??? I have a set of NOS ones for a LWB car that I may be selling. I would rather trade for a set for a SWB car but I don't know how easy that will be ???

    Hey Joe,
Luckily the brackets were spared and left with the car. So was my relay just need the grills and a switch. I do have a set of aftermarket brackets as well. I took off my original and it matched the same bends perfectly. Oh the originals still had part of the fog light bracket and the allen bolt.

Were the cut-down foglight grills chrome metal for the '73 cars as well? I had the impression that the grills went to black plastic in '73...what am I missing here?

Hey Paul didn't your car have fog/driving lights? If your car has them then that is the way they came. From everyone that I've seen post here and Pelican they all say if the car came from the factory with fogs then you got chrome. The plastic was 73 T,E and S without fog/driving lights. I have never seen a black plastic horn grill cut by the factory. If I am wrong on this please chime in. All help is appreciated!

I'm told that if a '73 came from the factory with through-the-grill lights that they installed the chrome ones. And that if the lights were added later by the dealer that the black plastic ones were used. I have both kinds, but I prefer the black on my '73.

The shop that does most of my work -- German Master Tech here in Bend, Oregon -- fashioned a set of black plastic grills with fog/driving light cutouts for me using a set of chrome ones that I have as templates. I'm sure they could fabricate additional sets of plastic ones pretty inexpensively if anyone is interested. They can also fabricate the mounting brackets (which are also available from David Buhain in LA for $99.00 a set).

You can contact me with a PM or Tim Morris at German Master Tech at 541-322-9647 or by email at <GermanMasterTech@bendbroadband.com>. I doubt this is a profit center for Tim, but he is always to support the early 911 community.

Rick, I believe John has it right on the one...'73 cars only. I just got an email from a person I trust on things like this. '72 and earlier cars, chrome cut-down grills. (like mine) '73 cars, if installed at the factory, chrome grills...if installed by dealer or owner purchased factory kits, thus not on the kardex, they are black plastic. But get this, they are MOULDED black plastic, not cut down. Back then, of course, you could also order everything wanted as individual parts..chrome or plastic grills, brackets, switch, wiring harness, all could be ordered individually. Anybody have a time machine? I'll go back & order a few hundred of each part at 1973 prices. Ahhh, what the hell...I posted this elsewhere earlier, but here's a pic of my '72 factory installed USA fogs. Whats funny here is that I almost passed on buying the car back in '74 because of the fogs. I thought they detracted from the purity of line of the 911 shape back then. In some ways, I still think so. But, since they were factory installed, I left them on the car. Yeah, I KNOW the parking light trim is wrong for '72...I preferred the black with the green paint.
