    RS Flairs...8s???

I just bought a set of RS flairs from Pelican. In the description they are refered to as 8" RS flairs. I am no RS expert and I know one could order the 7" flairs from the factory so is the RS an 8" flair? SC 9"?

RS and SC flares are 9" flares. This corresponds to the absolute widest Fuchs wheel you can fit under these flares. With 9x15 Fuchs this means a 225 tire, with 9x16 Fuchs it's a 245 tire.

So are the Pelican 8" flairs smaller than the original RS flairs?

I think that the SC and RS flares are 8" flares (but are different), the ST had 9" flares and the RSR and turbo are 11" flares and the RSR turbo are 14" flares.

I can fit 265's in back on 16x9 and 275's in back on 17x9's on my RS flared car. I have 2.5 degrees of negative camber. No rubbing whatsoever.

I run 16 x 9's with 245 rubber under my RS flares with no problems. Not sure why Pelican refers to them as 8" flares.

    RS flares

Hello: I believe the answer why Pelican calls them 8" Flares is they are for the original 8" wheels. They don't know they are actually 9" flares. Thanks Eric

Thanks for the help guys! Just got the flairs in and they have the correct RS outer edge. Curriously they have Porsche part stickers on them. I was under the assumption that porsche was not producing these anymore, so new old stock? I appreciate the help on tire and brand sizes. It's tough guessing and being wrong. That's the rub. Bad joke sorry!
