    Talking meet the flocker

in response to an earlier post.
refurbishing your door pockets is a rewarding endeavor.
first reshape them using a clothes iron with the steam setting.
no need to soak it will work fast.
let them dry, clamping in shape as necessary.
remove old flocking by sanding. patch any holes with wood putty.
    spray paint black.
apply flocking cement with a brush.
apply flocking fibers with the hand pump.
let dry as per instructions (72 hrs)
the flocking kit is available here: http://www.woodcraft.com

    what kind of hand pump?

  6. #6
the pump is the yellow cylinder at the top of the first picture.
its 2 nested cardboard tube with holes on one end.
fill with fibers and pump. the fibers shoot out the end.
when you buy the fibers and glue you also buy the pump.
    check out the website,under flocking.
    its not expensive.$25 for everything.
and for what the crappy pockets are selling on e-bay,
    its a bargain.
you could even do custom colors like red or brown.
