Thread: What discount for a non-matching number 2.2 S?

    What discount for a non-matching number 2.2 S?

I'm considering buying a 2.2S Targa which is painted in a color which is correct for the model year but not the car's original color and the car comes with a 2.2S engine which is not the original engine (non-matching numbers) but a correct engine number for the model year.

At what discount should a car like this trade compared to a car with matching numbers?

The seller is asking EUR 28.000 (appr. $ 34.000) for the car which is supposed to be in condition 2. The seller is offering a one year warranty on the engine and gear box.

    Thanks for any help!

    Carsten.

I just sold a 69 S that is identical, not original color and non matching motor for $23,500. Car went to Germany. Interior was a combination of restored and original, paint was new but not a great job.
