    Please decode this engine...

Forget the car...but is the engine (6330170) from a 911S?

According to Peter Morgan's book Original Porsche 911 it is from a 1973 911S.

Too bad the MFI is missing. Peter, good detective work. Engine alone...I can promise I won't bid against you if you go for it.

    Unfortunately Jason said he is looking for a '72 S motor. He has a '73 S motor in a '72 S chassis.

Thank you for looking out for me! You guys are the best.

    Yes, we need a 72 "S" Case

    First three are"632" Type 911/53

Would even consider buying a complete motor. The goal is to bring the car back to originality, bare metal resto back to original color.

It’s amazing how many forgery “S” Cases are out there.

I will post the before and after restoration process on this car when we are finished.

    Thank you,
    Jason

Damn...that thing if fugly! Probably only has engine value. Imagine the work it would take to return that car to looking like a 911 instead of some kid's bondo buggy?

Car (really, just the engine) sold for $5,000. Note the buyer.
