WTB: '69-'73 Door pocket trim NOS or excellent used

    Hi guys,
First post here but some of you know me personally or on the Pelican board. Thanks out to Bobbie for encouraging me to join here.

I'm looking for some door pocket trim - needed most sorely for my left/driver side foldout pocket, but if you're selling a complete set, I'll take that too. Would prefer NOS so as to avoid 'surprises' but will consider excellent, needs-nothing condition used examples. Not sure yet how PMs etc. work here so failing that, email me at dtwinters AT mindspring DOT com

Thanks! I've got freshly restored pockets back from Tony Garcia along with the rest of my interior and now my door pocket trim is "the weakest link".

I got a complete set from MS Road Race in California (I think) - can't find their contact details at the moment - they're often advertising on eBay. Someone here might have a number?

Good luck with the search - it's worth it when you get them fitted and have that 'ahhhh' moment as you look at them

When I get to the interior stage of my 2,2S (along time away) I am going to bite the bullet and buy a complete new set from Porsche as they are still available. It's just the price that is putting me off.

P - Thanks for the tip, I've just sent him a message via eBay.

Alan - Do you mean a new set of pockets, or just the trim? If just the trim, do you have part numbers? I thought about doing complete new pockets myself, but I couldn't bring myself to spend USD 2k on them...500+ to restore was bad enough...

    Hi,

Sorry I meant a complete new set. I don't think the trim was available separately, but I have seen a set or two pop up on ebay. Again I am not sure if these were new or used.

    Do you need all four?

    Thanks

    Alan

If I found a whole set I'd take it. What I really need though is the left side foldout trim.

You can sometimes buy the trim from aasesales.com

You can also buy complete repro tilting pockets from einmalig.com

Thanks for the tip on Aase. I should have mentioned I got the same tip on the Bird board, called him up and he's got nuthin'.

Hate to get the complete repro items from Einmalig, as I've just paid a bunch of money to have my real ones redone...

Anyone got some really nice used bits?

I'm getting entrenched for the long wait...just set up an automated search in eBay...

I have some pockets, but I don't think the trim is perfect. I will take a look today and get back to you

PS. Do you have any pics of your "restored" pockets. Do they still look factory finish?
