GONE...MANY, many great ones....
Okay...without too much explanation as there are a lot of great cars here I came up with the cars based on 1. cars that I could have afforded 7 years ago 2. cars that I have viewed in person and 3. equal division of SWB and LWB:
1 Rolly Resos' 67S
2 Bob Diefenbach's dark silver 67S
3 Rich Sutliffe's white 67S
4 Rob Dickinson's 69T
5 Mark Setzer's green 69S
6 Cris Huergas 69S
Too many cars to choose from and looking forwrd to adding to my list after this May!

Pictures would make this topic really excel.
Well since so many of you are sinning I guess I will too.
Not necessarly in order of the degree of lusting.
-'Gramps', which is Randy Stenson's fantastic Irish Green 2.2S
-SWB Jim's original '68S
-John Dixon's amazing special order Silver '67S (even though he is not on the Board)
-Rob's former, now Joe's, RS #197
-Dick Moran's wicked outlaw Black Speedster
-Rob Gross's 911ST and Frank's 911R (gotta lust for at least one or two race cars)
-Eade's Slate Gray '67S (love that driver's side mirror)
-and my period correct hot rod choice is Don Ahearn's '72 2.8L RSR rocket (when you are done with it Don)

The car has not sold. The longer I keep it the more I like it. A very hard car to replace.

Mum spent so many years occupying the left seat of all of Dad's many go-fast beasts (or mine) that she is the perfect passenger; she is also excellent with a map....she doesn't weigh much and when I'm driving hard she knows that talking only happens when I start the confab....things can get pretty busy at times in the 356 !
Stacy...you know we have a friend with a ROW CS...which he uses in anger for tarmac rallies, sprints etc....it is an awesome machine. Those engines are something - having pulled Mark's down for a freshen up and to have seen "SP" stamped on all the important bits and to see the "special work" ....therein lies the secrets ! And to think the car Mark bought was on the market for a few months...I saw it, thought about it, then forgot about it until he bought it - now I want it bad....another sin I'm afraid ! And I do love your SC Cab...a lot!Hi Lisa, and THANKS for the car complements! Now I gotta know, WHAT secrets ?!?!? The Club Sport is available, by the way... and it IS a great car.
Cheers guys,
Like I said, I'm content with one car. But hey, if anybody here gets serious about buying Tom's old car, I'd be glad to put them in contact with the guy who built it, the guy who put all the thought into it's creation in the first place. Funny thing about becoming an old goat...values & desires change. You find yourself with little need or desire to "prove anything" anymore. I used to think I wanted the bling of a gold rolex. Now that I can afford one, I don't want one...ditto the idea of more than one Porsche...one toy car to worry about is enough for me. The more "stuff" you have, the more "stuff" you have to take care of. I'm more into avoiding those hassles now...This attitude change is really kind of hard to explain. I guess you'll know it when you get there.Originally Posted by VIper Green E

Understatement rules.
(1) Dick Moran's black "GT" 911.
(2) Jeff Smith's gorgeous red 3.6 beast.

I was just going to list collections of cars (Eade's, Don Ahearn's, Mister Moran's, etc.), you know, since I'm dreaming. But I really covet Freeman's creation- especially when it makes it back from Pfaffenhausen with even more magic built in.
And then there's Rolly's unwashed (and unpainted!) early race car.
