    Don.

    I thought it was sold ?

    How well would a fiberglass lid hold up ?
    Why don't more people use them (or do they) since the price is so reasonable compared to a (heavier) alum. hatch.

    Thanks;
    John

    The fiberglass is heavier than the aluminum? What's the weight?

    The aluminum must weigh more.

    I think the weight on my lid is like 4 lbs. Is the fiberglass lid just a panel or is it framed?

    Thanks D, That is a great alternative when you consider the fragility of the aluminum lids and regular use.

    Michael;

    Yours is aluminum I assume ? So aluminum is 1/3 lighter (?) and 3 times as expensive.

    Don;

    What is the support for the fiberglass ?
    Apologies for treading all over your thread here.
