    Carb heat insulators

Can anybody tell me where I can get the heat insulators that fit between my Weber carbs and the engine? I bought some a couple of years ago when I installed Webers on my '81SC but I need some more for my '69S and can't remember where I bought them.

    Don:

PMO makes these kits (insulators, gaskets, studs) and I can get these for you, but I'd need to know your port size.

Yep...PMO has them. I have a set myself but have been too lazy to put them on and I'm not sure if they cause issues regarding the fit of the throttle linkage at all.

    Paul:

They will not interfere with the throttle linkage. Its really important to use these insulators to prevent an engine fire from percolation during hot soak due to the sorry state of today's pump gasolines.
