    911L seat problem

    Hello all-
I'm new to this 911 world and I need some help.
The pass. side seat on this 45,000 mile 911L self-reclines at will. Is there someome in the Los Angeles area who can properly repair this?
Or, what aftermarket seats would you recommend?

    Welcome aboard!

Not to sound flip but have you checked to see if the lever is engaging back. The seat probably hasn't been apart and the grease is all but gone now. I had a seat that did the same thing. I took off the side so you can see how it works and used carb cleaner to get the 30+ years of crud out and relubed. The other side was another story the end of the lever had a chunk missing so it would never engage. I sourced another hinge from a guy on Pelican. He had a parts seat.

Here is a set of hinges on ebay. I haven't delt with the seller but it may be worth a try.

    Seats for your 911 L

    Hi Anton,
Restoring your old seats will keep the value of the car, however it will be a time consuming and costly task,if you do the total restoration, but again it will be worth the while.
However if you consider better lateral support, or period sport seats you might want to look at our site at the different seat models.Everything is a bolt in so no alterations to you car have to be made.
