WTB: 2.4 PORSCHE Letters and "911S" emblem

I want to buy your original black anodized but, now faded "PORSCHE" letters and "911S" emblem. I'll pay you the price to replace your faded ones with new ones.

To be 100% clear, they must be faded to a nice gunmetal or pewter color and in excellent unscratched condition.

I'd buy new ones but, I don't have 20-30 years to wait for them to fade.

Here is a pic of a 911T emblem of mine to show what I'm after.

I actually need a new black 911S logo for the rear decklid. Don't have an old original one to trade though.

Where can I get the logo?

    Thanks,
    Cheers,

    Steve

I think they are still available thru PNA or Stoddards. I know the gold version is available thru Pelican.

    Aging Anodizing

THIS PROCESS IS NOT GUARANTIED BUT HAS WORKED FOR ME IN THE PAST....

Aged black anodizing can be achieved with using a wheel cleaner that is not to be used on anodized aluminum wheels. There is a warning on the label.

Spray on and rinse with IPA NOT water.

What happens is the anodizing gets slightly removed as well as the black dye resulting in a very similar finish to 30 years of aging.

I have exactly what you want. "911S" that looks like the one you are comparing to but I thought it was a mint original silver. Will post a photo this eve and PM you too.

Definitly the right year. Looks like it might be John. Can you email the photo to me at michaelfred@sbcglobal.net please? It's difficult to see the color with this resolution. Any chance of a photo in natural light without the flash?

Daron, the backside of the emblem will tell the tale.
