    paint code tag help needed

I just picked a 69 S one the paint tag there is no code for color but has the following number at the bottom 76-81 9101-H and 77-94 0503 can anyone decode what this means. I thought I bought a Tangerine car but it looks red, appears to be factory color maybe a pain to match color.

A pic, I don't ever remember seeing these other #'s but maybe I have been spacing on that all along.

    Sorry for the crappy pic
The first line of numbers are
76-81 9101H, Now the 76-81 are supposed to refer to baking temps for paint or something like that, the H is paint vendor 9101 is not a code that I can locate.
The second set of numbers are
77-94 0503, I can't tell why there are two sets of numbers I'm 1/2 tempted to remove tag and see if there are 2 tags stuck on top of one another. Car also has a serial tag on window pillar that is one number off the rest of the VIN numbers, I am wondering if Dieter had one bier too many at lunch that day.
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Phil

I might be wrong, but shouldn't a '69 plate look like this:

You are correct I have never seen a tag like the one on my car. What serial number is your car.

After digging around on web I have seen some pics of tags that are like mine, I wonder which one is correct.

I've seen both, too. Weird. Dr. Johnson's book is clearly lacking in this area. Maybe your car is a Karmann bodied car?
