    Inside rear view mirror measurement needed

    Just had my nifty $200 PPG windshield fitted to the RS and need a measurement from the rubber's edge at the top of the windshield to the top of the base that glues to the windshield. Hoping someone can measure their original car for me. When the proper German glass becomes availible I will swithch this one out but at least I can drive it! Thanks guys.

    Hi Don,

    9 centimeter straight down if I remember, darn it could 8 cm as well, forgot about it but there is a drawing in the workshop manual, sorry I don't have the car or the books near by so can't check.
    Soembody else?
